Serving Four Locations As the lead instructor and owner of Sink or Swim, Clint is the driving force behind everything we do. Voted as the Lowcountry Parent Mom’s Choice winner of Best Swim School in Charleston in 2017, 2019, and 2021, he is 1 of only a few swim instructors in Charleston trained by ISR to teach Survival Swimming Lessons and self rescue. Clint has been teaching since 2010, continuing to learn new skills so that he is always able to offer the best service to every student. This includes attaining the Infant Swimming Resource Certification in 2017. Clint instructs all ages but works mostly with babies and toddlers. Having been involved with education for over 20 years, Lynette is the holder of both a BSc in Education and a PhD in Biology. She is passionate about education, teaching students valuable skills that will help them throughout life, and swimming is an essential part of that. Lynette joined the Sink or Swim team in 2017, and her son Harper has been a student in the program. Lynette is able to teach all ages and can also help students prepare for triathlon or swim team events. Susan joined the Sink or Swim family as an instructor in 2016 and has since seen her own daughter go through our program. Her motto is “You are stronger than you think!”, and she has been so successful with our students some say she could even make a Brik float if she tried. She mostly teaches babies and younger children and loves everything about her job. Mckenna joined Sink or Swim in 2020, although she has been swimming competitively for the last 8 years. As you may imagine, that means swimming is a major part of her life, but in between time in the water she attends Charleston Southern, majoring in middle grade education. Mckenna loves working with babies and toddlers, and thanks to her competitive swimming background, can help any swim team with stroke technique. Our program administrator, Melanie is someone you have probably spoken too if you’ve booked lessons or been in touch with us before. She has worked at Sink or Swim since 2018 but having put all four of her children through the program, Melanie has been part of our family for several years. Teaching swimming since 2016, Matthew joined us here at Sink or Swim in 2021. He is an experiences instructor who coached a junior swim team for two years and is currently a senior at CofC studying exercise science. Matthew excels at teaching floating techniques and getting new students comfortable in the pool and is also a great help those hoping to gain a swim team place. Matthew works with students from three years of age to adult and is one of just a few teachers in the area who teaches for future dive teams. Anna is a Fist Aid/CPR certified instructor who started training with Sink or Swim in 2020. Anna is a 2020 state qualifying swimmer from Hanahan High School, who leads a busy life outside the water too. She is a cheerleader as well as a babysitter and manages to find time to work part time at the Swig & Swine as well! Anna works with students four years and older and loves to take group lessons too. Maddy started with Sink or Swim in 2022 but has been a professional teacher since 2019 and a competitive swimmer since 2011. Maddy is currently looking forward to her time at USC beginning in the fall of 2022 and works with students four years and older along with taking group lessons too. SINK OR SWIM SCHOOL STAFF
